Notification of acquisition of shares in Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (LSG)

On 25 September 2008, Austevoll Seafood ASA ("AUSS") has purchased 4,500 shares in Lerøy

Seafood Group ASA ("LSG") at a price of NOK 59 per share. AUSS hereafter owns a total of 17,864,800 shares in LSG representing 33,34% of the outstanding shares in LSG.

As a result of this purchase, AUSS has passed the mandatory offer threshold in the Norwegian Securities Trading Act of 1/3 of the shares.

The current intention of AUSS is to sell a sufficient number of shares to avoid the obligation to make a mandatory offer for the remaining shares in LSG within the deadline of 4 weeks set forth in the Norwegian Securities Trading Act. However, AUSS reserves the right to change its mind and instead make a mandatory offer for the remaining shares in LSG at a price of NOK 59 per share within the deadline of 4 weeks set forth in the Norwegian Securities Trading Act.
